NEWS Harding Middle School Art in Windows Project   The 8th grade students of Mrs. Autumn Schaffran’s art class are creating collaborative paintings to be installed in the window of a Madison Avenue business. Lakewood Window and Door, owner Ernie Vagi asked Lakewood is Art(Artwood) for an idea to improve the appearance of his store windows. Harding Middle School Art Teacher and LIA Board Member, Autumn Schaffron came up with the perfect concept of including Harding Middle School Art Students in the project. The Students working on this project have studied the work of Salvador Dali and his Surrealist ideas, and have come up with their own versions of Dreamscapes. They’ve used a projector to enlarge their drawing onto the canvas, and are collaborating to create four panels to be displayed. The panels are expected to be installed by the end of the month(January, 2010) at Lakewood Door & Window Company 13700 Madison Ave This project has been funded by LIA and Lakewood Door and Window.
